The Bakantes Communication agency was set up in 2001 by Florence Fumex, to respond to the communication needs – in the wider sense – of Parisian restaurants. Its reach has gradually extended into the lifestyle sector, covering fine dining, and the hotel and wine trades, all over France.

Florence Fumex was born in 1972. She studied archaeology, specialising in Roman cuisine, and wrote a dissertation entitled 'The Emperor's Table'. Passionate about the subject, she worked in the kitchens of a top Parisian establishment. Communicative by nature, she soon moved into culinary communications consulting.

Specialising in the lifestyle sector, the Bakantes Communication agency has quickly acquired an in-depth knowledge of the sector, its key players, professionals and journalists (both French and international), and its networks.

The agency always analyses its clients' communication needs from the perspective of their competitive environment, the objectives they assign themselves, and their specific economic and financial constraints. In addition to listening to the teams already in place, and evaluating the existing communication tools (if any), this method permits a quick, precise diagnosis and the formulation of concrete, creative and competitive proposals..
